So, it’s Mass Effect 3 release week. Stick around for a team-wide first impressions article this weekend, with Kevin’s review to follow sometime later. But for now, here’s a little pre-release rage.
Football Manager 2012 has just received its regular January Transfer Update along with a massive 60% discount on Steam, at just £8 this is an essential purchase. Even better, if you already own the game and want to gift it to a friend, that will set you back £4.99. This offer ends Friday at 18:00GMT.
The new update, fully detailed here features a number of bug fixes to go along with the new database which features all the January transfers. I just hope it solves my issues with the Welsh league. Time to boot it up and check it out, can’t wait.
Update – Three New Battlefield 3 DLC Packs Announced
Update – Earlier today we reported on a rumouer that a bunch of new DLC for Battlefield 3 were about to be announced. Low and behold, three new DLC packs have been announced by EA each with a distinct theme. Hit the jump to find out more.
One of the Vita launch titles I was most looking forward to playing was Wipeout 2048, and when I received it as a birthday present last weekend I was over the moon. I slotted the dinky little game card into my Vita and watched the opening video with a smile plastered on face. The video shows the development of racing in the Wipeout canon from the point of view of the Feisar team with cars from the early 20th Century,…
We all knew the basics of Assassin’s Creed 3last week, but with this debut trailer we now have some action of the game that is going to be set in 18th Century North America. Assassin’s Creed 3 will put you in the boots of Ratohnaké:ton, an assassin of Native American and English heritage who goes by the easier to pronounce name of Connor.
The fifth main release in the series is going to use the all new Ubisoft-AnvilNext game engine and has twice the production values of any other Ubisoft title.
The game is locked in for release on the 31st of October this year for release on PC, 360 and PS3. A WiiU version is also in development.
This Halo 4 video documentary has just been made public, and it looks just a bit impressive. This is coming from someone who has only played the original title, and that on the PC. The video was first shown at the Microsoft Spring Showcase held in San Francisco last week and you can find a big lowdown of the Halo 4 presentation on VG24/7.
There is one title on the Vita that is really a must own, there are plenty of really good titles that have been released to coincide with the US/EU release of Sony’s new handheld, but Motorstorm RC is probably the pick of the bunch, and at only £4.79 there is no reason not to own it.
The Reticule Presents Installing to Disk Episode 1 – New Beginnings
The very first episode of The Reticule’s new podcast is here. Hosted by Jordan Harling and “Nicknameless James” – The Reticule Presents Installing to Disk is a chaotic half hour of videogame news, rumours and opinions. This is the first podcast bearing The Reticule name, but Jordan and James have been casting the pods for a while now, you can find their past episodes here. In this episode of Installing to Disk the lads reflect on the release of the…
I’ve been quietly fuming away for the best part of 2 years over the pricing of Mass Effect 2‘s mission DLC. At 2480 of their intentionally obtuse ‘Bioware points’, you’re expected to pay about twice what the 40-hour base game costs itself these days. Which is how DLC typically works, but at least there’s usually a discount for those of us who’re never going to be fanatical enough to cough up that kind of money. Not in the case of…
Just as I am about to head out of the door, a big dollop of Assassin’s Creed news falls in my lap with this packshot unveiled for Assassin’s Creed 3 which is due for release on the 30th October for PC, 360 and PS3. VG24/7 has a low down on the background to this story, but we don’t have to wait long for official Ubisoft details as they will unveil more on Monday 5th March at 17:00 GMT. (via VG24/7)
