Medal Wars: Keisers Revenge is a new isometric action shooter from one man development team Retro Army, based in Scotland. Set in World War One it assumes the gameplay style of an action RPG not to dissimilar to that of Diablo. Of course in World War One they weren’t able to shoot lighting out their fingertips and instead you have an assortment of guns and explosives to help you complete your missions.
You take the place of a soldier serving in the Green Army as you come under attack from the enemy. Black Army has invaded your territory and it’s time to make a stand. You start off the campaign with a humble pistol and some very basic instructions given to you by busty Betsy your commanding officer, who soon becomes one of the more featured NPC’s in the early game. You’re mission should you choose to accept it, is to face the enemy as a daring lone soldier and take back the land that is rightfully yours.
CD Projekt Red have today announced The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, the latest in the series of games based on Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski’s best selling books. With a open world that’s 20% larger than Skyrim, CDPR aim to make this the Ultimate game in the series.
L.A Noire’s cutting edge motion capture technology shows its less murderous side in this comedy gag reel released today by Depth Analysis, developers of the MotionScan Tech. The video shows a host of characters from the game fluffing their lines, laughing and joking just as if they were filming a movie.
It seems that The Federation Of German Consumers Association (VZBV) have taken issue with some of the terms of Valve’s popular gaming software, Steam. They believe it unfair that consumers who buy games via the software are unable to resell or give them away after use.
EA are up to their old tricks again, this time with the impending release of Dead Space 3. The day one DLC packs aim to boost players progress through the game with acquisition of loot, armour and weapons for Isaac.

Another week on and I’m still going strong, must be some kind of record for me. I recently discovered Backloggery, a super handy website which allows you to list and organise your backlog of games into neat little piles. I definitely recommend this to anyone who has problems keeping on top of their backlog of games.
The number of active players playing Path of Exile at any one moment has risen to around 70,000 in just three days of open beta, much higher than the developers anticipated. Servers were closed earlier today whilst emergency fixes were put in place to improve their stability.
All this time spent with a controller in my hand, my Steam backlog has been slowly mounting up to the stage where it’s getting ridiculous and I’ve decided to make a stand. So for the next month I will don the suit, learn the secret handshake and take my place as a PC gamer.
