Gears Of War: Judgement – The Verdict

Gears Of War: Judgement – The Verdict

Today I will face judgement by the hands of my own people, in the court of my peers. My choice was not an easy one but I could not stand to see innocent people die while I stood quietly waiting for orders. Charged with the unlawful attainment and use of military equipment in order to save the lives of thousands of civilians, any future I once had now looks bleak. My name is Lt. Damon Baird and I have no regrets.

Our Week in Games – Week 31

With all this news of next-generation consoles, features they will include and exclusive games it seems I’m still living in the past however. By far the most exciting piece of news for me this week was that Age of Empires II will be receiving an HD update exclusively for Steam. While the graphical update is minimal and not really all that it important, it will be featuring mod support and easy access to multiplayer gaming which is a big improvement. I could easily see this becoming my most played game of the year. Move over League of Legends, you’re not laughing any more.

New Toki Tori 2 Screenshots, Launch Date Is Very Close

Toki Tori 2 has quietly been in development for quite some time now and with good reason. Two Tribes made the decision that this would be the first game in a decade that would be entirely without the pressures of having a publisher. Instead of being dogged down by release dates Two Tribes took “as long as necessary to really make it shine”.

Dead Space 3 ‘Awakened’ DLC Lands Next Week

Rumours are circulating around whether the Dead Space series really has been canned after poor sales of the third release, or if there will indeed be a Dead Space 4. What we know for sure is that EA and Visceral Games are keeping with their commitment to Dead Space 3 by releasing the first proper content pack named ‘Awakened’.

Our Week in Games – Week 29

Our Week in Games – Week 29

I find today’s gaming trend of HD remakes and re-releases somewhat uninspiring. In most cases the ‘new’ game actually brings nothing new to the table, other than updated graphics. In return the end users are charged a premium price for a game that could be over ten years old. I understand the reasons that these games can sometimes prove popular, both for the fans and the developers. But honestly I would rather just dig out my old console from the attic and play the original the way it was intended to be played. Who’s with me?

Dead Space 3 – The Verdict

Someone once said that in space no one can hear you scream. It is possible however, to hear the shriek of your mum as she discovers just how much you’ve spent on microtransactions. Well at the very least your scrapbot will now have its own personality, which is more than most people can claim.

Our Week In Games – Week 27

Our Week In Games – Week 27

This week has been yet another in a long line that I’ve not actually had a massive amount of time to play games. I’ve been patch testing for a Scottish indie developer called Retro Army, work has been very busy and everyone seems to be having birthdays or engagement parties that need attending. I have managed some game time with Dead Space 3 with a review coming soon, but apart from that nothing. Thankfully Sunday is a different story for me with no work and no social activities. Sunday is a day for rest, relaxation, recuperation and of course, Sunday is a day for The Retiucle. So without further ado I’ll hand you over to the team for Our Week In Games, enjoy.
