I may not be the biggest fan of co-operative gaming, but gosh darn it don’t trailers for co-op moments just look so damn good. Take this one for RAGE, that upcoming beast of a game from iD. It is all action and doesn’t give two shits what anyone thinks about it. Now I just need to conquer my co-op issues so I can enjoy moments like that myself.
I do wish to declare that I believe F1 2011 including a co-op season mode is a very good idea. For once you will have the chance to both work with your co-op buddy, and also to utterly ruin his game. Imagine, you both have been racing at the very limit of abilities of your car all season and have managed to secure the Constructors Championship, a perfect bit of team-work. It is the last race of the season, you have a gentleman’s agreement that the guy who leads into the first corner will keep the race lead, only to totally ruin his race, and your friendship, by knocking him out of the race to secure the win and the Drivers Championship. That sounds awesome.
You can learn a lot about a game from its title. Even non-gamers can tell from their names alone that Grand Theft Auto is going to have a fair bit of crime involved, that Rock Band has a large musical element and that Portal involves… well… portals. Ever since I played a bit of Assassin’s Creed II I have loved the series, to be more exact, I have loved the singleplayer side of things. I may have played the online component of Brotherhood for about half an hour on the PC, but that was about it.
