The Reticule’s Guide To Soul Calibur V

The Reticule’s Guide To Soul Calibur V

Soul Calibur V releases in Europe today, having been available in North America and Japan for most of this week. It came away with a headshot in Tuesday’s Soul Calibur V review, and if you’re thinking of joining the fight you’ll need to do some catching up to the rest of the world, especially as my main criticism was of how the game doesn’t do quite enough to get you up to speed on its new systems and massive move…

Soul Calibur V – The Verdict

Soul Calibur V – The Verdict

Don’t let the dashing, hooded Italian on Soul Calibur V‘s boxart fool you. Namco and their rivals aren’t in the business of trying to squeeze a big release out every single year. They understand the value of leaving land fallow. It has been nearly three years since the last Tekken, dead on three years since we entered the fourth Street Fighter era. And Soul Calibur IV? Nearly four years old. The Soul series’ sixth instalment arrives this week, and it’s…

UFC Undisputed 3 – Demo Impressions

UFC Undisputed 3 – Demo Impressions

My MMA knowledge is limited to an occasional work out on UFC: Personal Trainer and what I hear my workmates talk about. Despite my limited understanding of this sport, I decided to check out the demo for the upcoming UFC: Undisputed 3, the third title in the series from THQ.

Kingdoms Of Amalur – DLC Or Online Pass?

Kingdoms Of Amalur – DLC Or Online Pass?

It emerged at the end of last week that 38 Studios’ upcoming RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was going to include an “online pass” which was required to gain access to the House of Valor quest line. This revelation caused a wave of fury and consternation amongst those who had taken an interest in the title. “An online pass, for a singleplayer game? How hideous!” they cried, but all is not as it seems.

Let Down By RAGE

Let Down By RAGE

I’m a few months late to the party, but I have just completed RAGE, and I don’t think I have ever felt quite so let down by a game ending. I am really disappointed with how iD Software approached the ending of the game, it feels like they just gave up when they got to that last level. Spoilers abound after the jump.

Trials Evolution Looks Amazing

Trials Evolution Looks Amazing

We are big fans of Trials here at The Reticule, be it the PC version, or the later Xbox Live Arcade version, which if I am honest, absolutely blew me away when I first played it a couple of weeks ago. This new video from the latest Inside Xbox shows off RedLynx’s new title, Trials Evolution which is looking absolutely stunning. The multiplayer races, and the track editor are going to be highlights of this new title. I can’t wait to get hands on with it when RedLynx release it.

Bioshock Infinite Has 1999 Mode

Bioshock Infinite Has 1999 Mode

“Gamers face permanent consequences of their in-game decisions in unforgiving new mode” is how the press release about the 1999 Mode for Bioshock Infinite starts. My interest was certainly piqued when you consider the relatively consequence free nature of the original Bioshock thanks to those ever controversial Vita Chambers.

In case you haven’t heard of these guys before Walls 360 are a Las Vegas based company that have been creating amazing wall graphics for a few years now. Among other things they have created some great Battlefield 3 and Tetris art up to a giant 6 foot in height and have just released a new batch of Mass Effect 3 graphics for you to drool over. Whether you’re a huge fan of Commander Shepard and can’t wait to get a print in your room or you just fancy giving your neighbours a scare from your front door or garden fence, you’ll have to agree that these graphics look awesome and very tempting.
