Teaser Trailer for Tomorrow Corporation’s Little Inferno

As a massive fan of the work that Kyle Gabler (2D Boy, World of Goo), Kyle Gray (Henry Hatsworth) and Allan Blomquist have all been involved with, I have been keeping my eye on their latest development group, Tomorrow Corporation for quite a while. My constant refreshing of the Tomorrow Corporation site has paid off as the three indie legends have released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming title, Little Inferno. Their new title, due Winter 2012 for PC, Mac, Linux and WiiU is 100% indie and DRM free and will take place almost entirely in front of a fireplace. You really need to watch the teaser after the break to get a feel for the game, but be warned that I could describe the trailer with any one of these phrases: warming, chilling, enlightening, harrowing, joyful, musical, cute, colourful, dark and perhaps most important, intriguing.

The world’s largest consumer electronics show, E3, will be upon us in less than a week, and the biggest games publishers and developers will be eagerly showcasing their wares in an attempt to build up anticipation, excitement and a shed load of hype for the biggest releases set to appear over the next twelve months. I’ve already outlined my three most eagerly anticipated first-party offerings from Sony; today, it’s Nintendo’s turn. With a new console to show off and a handheld still in its infancy, a lot of eyes will be on Nintendo at E3 this year. Below are my three most highly anticipated Nintendo games that will hopefully be shown off at the expo this year. Get set for old school platforming.

Assassin’s Creed 3 Debut Trailer

We all knew the basics of Assassin’s Creed 3 last week, but with this debut trailer we now have some action of the game that is going to be set in 18th Century North America. Assassin’s Creed 3 will put you in the boots of Ratohnaké:ton, an assassin of Native American and English heritage who goes by the easier to pronounce name of Connor.

The fifth main release in the series is going to use the all new Ubisoft-AnvilNext game engine and has twice the production values of any other Ubisoft title.

The game is locked in for release on the 31st of October this year for release on PC, 360 and PS3. A WiiU version is also in development.

E3 – Who Won From The Big Three?

E3 is the biggest event in the gaming calendar. Since 1995 it has been the place where companies show their plans for the upcoming year and make big game announcements. This years E3 has been built up to be especially important with the planned reveal of Nintendo’s new console, firm details about Sony’s new handheld device and a big question mark over what Microsoft were going to bring to the table.
