There’s occasionally a moment when you play a preview build of a game where the demo ends, and you’re just left standing there thinking “But I wanted to carry on playing for the rest of the day!”. That’s exactly how I felt after playing the preview build for Hevn, an immersive, story-driven sci-fi adventure from developers MIGA.
A good train management game can be a thing of excellence, just think back to the Railroad Tycoon series and bask the glow of glorious train timetabling and management. It is a genre which I’ve largely lost track of in recent time, but the upcoming full release of Train Valley on September 16th could change that.
With so many indie developers and so much opportunity these days to fund your project in various ways, it’s important to stick out amongst the crowd, have some individuality and above all provide a pitch that shows quality and professionalism, so for this weeks pick I have been looking for just that. Admittedly I have already been following three of these games through development but the others show just as much promise.
