Our Week in Games Special – Week 52

Our Week in Games Special – Week 52

It is the 52nd edition of Our Week in Games and this one is a bit special purely because it marks a years worth of doing this thing. While our first edition of Our Week in Games hit in July last year, we took some time out for Our Year in Games last December. Today though, we try to talk about a few different things to just what we have been playing last week, there are some good stories to be told this week. It was a struggle to choose an image to go at the top of this post, but it is fitting when you think about how this past year or so has gone. Enjoy.

Our Week in Games – Week 51

Our Week in Games – Week 51

On Friday I completed the purchase of a lovely two-bed flat in Cardiff. It has been a long process, dragging its heels since January, but in the week ahead I get to play Sims in my own home. Just maybe without the whole locking your enemy in a room with no doors, windows or food until the Reaper comes for them. I can’t wait, but in the meantime why not take a read of what Week 51 of Our Week in Games held in store.

Our Week in Games – Week 50

It is a bit late in the day for this, but here we are once again for Our Week in Games. We are getting ever closer to Week 52 when we will have some special words to share about the past years worth of Our Week in Games. For now, Kevin is talking about his Steam backlog, Nick has ever more great Kerbal Space Program goodness and Jon has some choice words about spiders. All this, and more trucking in the 50th edition of Our Week in Games.

Our Week in Games – Week 49

Our Week in Games – Week 49

Another week goes by and we get ever closer to the one year mark of Our Week in Games, time sure has gone by quite quickly since then. I think one of my favourite ongoing parts of Our Week in Games has been Nick’s tales of his adventures in Kerbal Space Program, they have been thoroughly enjoyable. We’ll have a proper look back over the past year when we hit Week 52. For now, hit the break for some trucking…

Our Week in Games – Week 48

Space. It goes on and on, seemingly forever, much like Our Week In Games. This little snippet represents our 48th edition, and it’s a testament to the insane variety of games currently on offer that we’ve got this far without even slightly running out of things to talk about. What have I been up to? Well I’ve been back in space.

Our Week In Games – Week 47

The Steam summer sale has to be one of the most awkward times of the year for me, and I’m sure many other gamers would admit to feeling the same way too. I already have a pretty hefty backlog of games on my PC as most of my gaming is done console side, yet every time a Steam sale comes around I feel like I have to buy all the games on my wishlist as they are reduced to crazily low prices. So far this sale I have managed to hold off but Age of Empires 2 HD is just so tempting. Time will only tell if I have the strength to hold back. How are all of you finding this years sale?

Our Week in Games – Week 46

Our Week in Games – Week 46

By the time you read this, you will know whether a great British sporting weekend has become complete. With the Lions having won Down Under, Chris Froome winning the Yellow Jersey we are waiting on Lewis Hamilton in the German Grand Prix and Andy Murray at Wimbledon. Oh and the Ashes start this week as well. Who needs football eh? Find out in Our Week in Games who does.

Our Week in Games – Week 45

Our Week in Games – Week 45

We are entering the sport season of the summer with the Lions Tour well under way down under, Wimbledon in full flow and of course, the Tour de France has just started. Who needs sport though when we have games like Kerbal Space Program where you can land Kerbal’s on a Mun. On with Our Week in Games then.

Our Week in Games – Week 44

Our Week in Games – Week 44

As this post goes live, myself and Nick will probably be wandering the NEC in Birmingham at the Rezzed PC and indie game show. I’d hope that by now we would have seen loads of lovely indie games and maybe even squeezed in a talk as well. While we are busy up in Birmingham, what does everyone make of Microsoft’s decision to turn back on all of their DRM policies? Personally, I think it might be a case of short-term gain for long-term loss, though surely the tech they have won’t just disappear. I can see some of the disregarded features come back online within a year or two of launch. Anyway, on with Our Week in Games.

Our Week in Games – Week 43 E3 Special

Our Week in Games – Week 43 E3 Special

The brave men and women who attended E3 are probably still lying in bed a quivering mess, struggling to comprehend the horrors of the show floor. Either that or they are planning when to lunge next at a gaming show. I’ll be testing out the lunge room at Rezzed next Sunday with Nick (come say hi!) and I might just report back on my findings. Though maybe not through video. Anyway, this is Our Week in Games, but with an E3 twist. What have we made of E3…read on.
