The Technomancer – Gameplay Trailer

The Technomancer – Gameplay Trailer

If you’re looking forward to a holiday on Mars this year, and fancy something with a different pace to Doom, you might just want to check out The Technomancer, an upcoming RPG from Spiders and being published by Focus Home Interactive. Unless I am very much mistaken, The Technomancer is sharing the same universe as Mars: War Logs, a game which I thought was interesting, but rough around the edges when I reviewed it a few years ago. I enjoyed the setting and story that Spiders were trying to tell in War Logs, but it was lacking in polish and a second chapter which dragged its feet. Judging by the gameplay trailer below, The Technomancer has received a bit of spit and polish, and hopefully makes more use of the morality system where your choices will have clear consequences later in the game.

Hitman Absolution – Introducing: Tools of the Trade Gameplay Trailer

Hitman Absolution – Introducing: Tools of the Trade Gameplay Trailer

Hitman Absolution’s latest gameplay trailer shows the wide range of ‘weapons’ available to Agent 47 during missions. Showing us pictures of a toilet plunger and a cup of coffee the narrator states that “Weapons are everywhere. Anything is lethal in the hands of 47”. So don’t worry if you find yourself short on bullets or missing a knife or razor wire for silent takedowns, you can always count on that brick lying out on the street or the lead piping in the scrapyard. Professor Plum would be proud. The video’s narrator also states that “we very rarely require you to use any kind of weapon”, meaning your hands will probably be the greatest weapon you have.

If you’d rather go down the more conventional road, 47 will also have all the usual array of guns, knifes and toys to play with throughout the game. The start of the video shows 47 shooting ducks in rapid succession with a silenced pistol much like Sam Fisher might do in the Splinter Cell games. Shotguns, snipers and duel wielding also come into play during the trailer below.
