I’m a lifelong fan of the games made by Sports Interactive, be they the original Championship Manager titles, or the post-Eidos split Football Manager games. I spend countless hours every season playing them and it looks like this new version will be no exception.
Wow. I don’t expect any non-Football Manager fans to really understand the importance of what is being shown in this video, but it is major. The new game is going to be having a massive overhaul in the tactics system, it looks so much more useful on a day-to-day basis with all the information you need in the right place to help you make a good system. I may be looking forward to Battlefield 3, but I think I will spend more time playing Football Manager by the end of the year.

I love this time of the year, the football season has just kicked off again, the roads are still quiet in the morning because all the kids are on holiday, oh and a new Football Manager title is announced. Following on with the usual numbering system Sports Interactive have announced that they expect Football Manager 2012 to be available before this Christmas.
I used to be evil, well and truly evil when playing old version of Championship Manager and Football Manager. I was young, foolish manager obsessed with winning and destroying rival teams no matter what the cost. I will admit that what I did was wrong, it was not the honourable way of playing the beautiful game.
Football season is back, and that means we will be getting heaps of football games coming out this year even though they are labelled 2010! It is madness but it is that special kind of madness we are all used to. Apart from all the other chaps here who don’t seem to care in the slightest about the grand old sport.
