WadjetEye Games, publishers of Gemini Rue and Resonance, are set to continue in their attempts to overtake Lucasarts as the undisputed kings of the point and click genre. This week they released a trailer for their next release, Primordia, a point and click adventure made by Wormwood Studios, set on a post-humanity depiction of Earth.
“Ages have passed since legendary Man walked the planet. Now, in the desolate wastelands beyond the city of Metropol, a solitary robot named Horatio jealously guards his freedom and independence. All that is taken away from him when a marauding foe steals his power source, forcing him to leave the safety of his home and set out on a perilous journey into the wastes – and into his own mysterious past.”
If the quality of their previous releases is anything to go by, this is certainly a game fans of the point and click genre should be keeping an eye on. Continuing their passion for hand drawn art styles and stylised atmospheres that many 3d adventures struggle to accomplish, Wadjet Eye may well be sitting on another masterpiece.
Primordia is being published by Wadjet Eye Games and is scheduled for release in Q4 2012.
