Modern Warfare 2 – Teaser Trailer

Modern Warfare 2

A teaser trailer for Modern Warfare 2 is now live on the site for the game which has mysteriously dropped the Call of Duty label. The trailer doesn’t show much in detail, but Russians do seem to be involved indicating a possible continuation of the event of Modern Warfare. Embedded version after the jump.

However, some guys over at Binge Gamer (from VG247) have ripped the trailer to pieces and uncovered a veritable bounty of goodies hidden away in the video. A teddy bear and Jesus seem to make an appearance along with the usual tanks and aircraft.

It is interesting to see that the Call of Duty moniker has been left out of this, perhaps Activision felt that carrying on with the Call of Duty numbering was getting out of hand and that the Modern Warfare title is strong enough on its own. Who knows, but it is still being developed by Infinity Ward which can only be a good thing.

Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.

  1. I’m thinking Infinity Ward want to depart from the Call of Duty license. Firstly they’ve been talking new franchises for a little while now. Second there seems to be a great deal of tension between Treyarch and Infinity Ward. I’m pretty sure IW wants to start defining itself with new stuff.
