Scotland has a rich history in the video games industry, so it only makes sense that there be some kind of event to celebrate this amongst fans and developers alike. Welcome ‘Gaming Expo Scotland‘, due to launch in Edinburgh’s International Conference Centre in October 2014. The two day event will consist of “A mixture of competitions, features, displays, retro games, presenter sessions, indie games and the most anticipated games for all platforms”.

As a resident of Scotland this is somewhat of an early Christmas present as most of the gaming expos and events take place down in England. Whether this is a one off event or it turns into a yearly expo, either way I can’t wait for October 4th and 5th next year.
