The long war between Origin and Steam has seen several casualties disappear from Valve’s service, and others not arrive there at all. One of the big titles to disappear was Crysis 2, but in a strange quirk it is now back on Steam and in Maximum Edition form which contains all four Limited Edition unlocks as well as the Retaliation and Decimation multiplayer map packs. Is this a sign that EA will relent and release titles like Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 3 through Steam? Personally, I can’t see it happening any time soon, but this might signal and the start of a new beginning.
