After THQ went the way of the Stephens Island Wren in early January, I and many others were more than a little concerned about the fate of those titles it held under its wing. Metro: Last Light and  Company of Heroes II were well into production when the publisher went into liquidation, and for a time rumours were rife that the titles would never see daylight.

Luckily for those involved, the Company of Heroes IP found its footing under the SEGA brand. Release delays were expected due to the inevitable reshuffling of resources, so I was pleased to find that today SEGA have announced a provisional release date for the continuation of the CoH brand as June 25^th, 2013 across North America and Europe. That’s a Tuesday, so I’m guessing it’ll probably end up as 28th June if the UK’s retail industry has anything to say about it.

Needless to say, I am incredibly excited by the prospect of once again blowing up hundreds of tiny little men and burying them in snow and ice.
