Yesterday I received the email I’d been waiting for announcing the launch of the Game Expo Scotland 2014 Official Website along with an update on the details of the expo itself.

What goes up, must come down. In addition to being a universally accepted truth, this statement has always been an accurate description of my Kerbal Space Program shuttle missions. Try as I might to reproduce NASA’s success, anything I make with wings generally has a life expectancy of under a minute before violently exploding, flipping over, spinning out of control or all of the above.
Steam Specials Weekly Wrap-up #2
Now that Steam Family Sharing has been officially out for a few days have you all been making use of it? I certainly have, joining my account with a few of my friends and suddenly I have over 250 games available to me.
The Naval War Kicks off In Wargame Red Dragon
I first talked about Wargame: Red Dragon at the tail end of February where I bemoaned the fact that the Red Dragon of the title has nothing to do with the Welsh dragon. It still gripes me, but I am somewhat appeased by news that you can pre-order the game now on Steam which will grant you exclusive access to the multiplayer beta which will kick off in the coming days. It might face some competition from Titanfall and Dark Souls II, but sometimes people need an RTS to keep them company.

Frozen [insert pun] Endzone Hits Early Access
The follow up to Frozen Synapse has today hit Steam Early Access along with receiving a massive update. Mode 7 Games have had a busy day as they have also released a new trailer for the “simultaneous-turn-based tactical game set around a brutal futuristic sport played by robots” game known as Frozen Endzone.
All New Watch Dogs Trailer Reveals Release Date
Somehow, in my preview of 2014 I managed to leave Watch Dogs of the list, though that does show the strength of some of the exciting games coming out this year. Despite it not quite making the list, I am still looking forward to the open-world hackathon from Ubisoft, even more now that is has a release date. The 27th May is that day, and Ubisoft released a new trailer to celebrate the announcement. Check it out below.

Along with the announcement that Steam Family Sharing has left it’s beta phase and is now available for all far and wide, Valve have also reported that they’ve handed over control of game sales to the developers that made them.
Gaming Crowdfunding Weekly – StarCrawlers, Tulpa, Koe, Sierra Ops
Because it’s still Thursday somewhere, Gaming Crowdfunding Weekly. This week: StarCrawlers is a star-based dungeon crawler (see what they did there?); Tulpa is not the first stylish puzzle platform game you’ve seen; Koe thinks you’re learning Japanese, it thinks you’re learning Japanese, it really thinks so; and Sierra Ops found so much money suddenly that we decided to talk about it again.
Deus Ex: The Fall Makes A Leap To PC
Following its release last July on iOS and Android devices, Deus Ex: The Fall will launch on PC via Steam this March. The new version will receive a host of additions such as updated AI, an improved tutorial, Steam achievements and badges and improved graphics optimisation.
