As of a few weeks ago, I don’t think many of us expected a new RAGE to appear on the horizon. But after a series of leaks, ones that Bethesda soon played up to the max, RAGE 2 was confirmed yesterday, with a full-fat trailer landing today. Hit the break to check it out.
I’m a few months late to the party, but I have just completed RAGE, and I don’t think I have ever felt quite so let down by a game ending. I am really disappointed with how iD Software approached the ending of the game, it feels like they just gave up when they got to that last level. Spoilers abound after the jump.
Coming from iD Software – the creators of the FPS genre as we know it – comes their latest release – RAGE – a game with 20 years of shooting pedigree and some of the most well known figures in the industry working away on it’s innards. No pressure then.
I imagine you are all wondering where a few of our reviews are hiding, conspicuous in their absence are RAGE, Arkham City and Battlefield 3. Well, let me give you all a little update about where we are with these games.
This was originally intended to be a disclaimer at the beginning of my Rage review, but it spiralled out of control and now takes the form of an editorial about journalistic objectivity and the relationship gamers have with developers, thus ends the disclaimer to the disclaimer.
At the Eurogamer Expo, Chris got some hands on time with Rage, after completing some of the first few missions he has gathered some thoughts together. Read them below. Beware of early game spoilers.
Wow, what a few days this has been at the Eurogamer Expo, it was my first gaming event of its kind, and I enjoyed every last minute of it. Yes, it was busy, hot and expensive, but it was bloody enjoyable. I heartily recommend anyone who has never been to an event like this to do so. It is a nice sensation to find yourself in a crowd of people with a like-minded passion for video games. So please read…
I’m feeling a bit tired, I don’t know whether it is the expo, or that I have just come back from a few drinks down Leicester Square, but I am still looking forward to the last day of the Eurogamer Expo. Read on after the jump for a roundup of Days 2 and 3 of the expo.
I may not be the biggest fan of co-operative gaming, but gosh darn it don’t trailers for co-op moments just look so damn good. Take this one for RAGE, that upcoming beast of a game from iD. It is all action and doesn’t give two shits what anyone thinks about it. Now I just need to conquer my co-op issues so I can enjoy moments like that myself.
