I first took a look at upcoming immersive sci-fi sim HEVN back in December at part of the #FiveForFive series which included a hands-on preview and Q&A with Larry Johnson and Mat Matthews from developers, Miga. Right now we have a new teaser trailer for this game that is inspired by luminaries like System Shock and Deus Ex.
Our Five for Five series continues today with our Q&A with the two man development team behind Hevn. My hands on preview went live earlier in week, and I thought it was one of the most fascinating blends of sci-fi and survival gameplay I had seen. I was left eager for more, but for now we have the Five for Five Q&A with Larry Johnson and Mat Matthews from developers Miga where they reveal more about their unique take on agile development and the inspiration…
There’s occasionally a moment when you play a preview build of a game where the demo ends, and you’re just left standing there thinking “But I wanted to carry on playing for the rest of the day!”. That’s exactly how I felt after playing the preview build for Hevn, an immersive, story-driven sci-fi adventure from developers MIGA.
We’re trying something out on The Reticule over the next few weeks, whether doing it in the run up to Christmas is a good idea, I don’t know, but it should be interesting. Over the next five weeks, you can expect to see five upcoming indie games featured on the site, complete with short Q&As consisting of five questions and hands-on impressions. First up will be noir adventure game, Detective Gallo.
