Do you want to support indie games and charities? If your answer is yes, then I think you should take a look at the Humble Indie Bundle. You can pay what you like and decide yourself how much of what you pay goes to the developers and the charities.
2D Boy’s amazing World of Goo turned a year old last week and since then, and until this Sunday, they have been running an experiment where you can buy World of Goo for any price you want.
It has been 8 months since the launch of World of Goo by Ron Carmel and Kyle Gabler more commonly known as 2D Boy. I recently had a quick catch up with them both about the success of World of Goo and what they are planning on doing next.
The awesome World of Goo is now on sale on Steam for just $4.99/£4.24/€4.99 which, you must agree, are some stupdendously brilliant prices for this wonderful game. This offer running for this weekend only.
Interesting figures have emerged regarding the Linux release of World of Goo. 2D Boy have revealed that more copies were sold on their website on the Linux release day than any other day. They beat the previous record by 40%

I really, really wanted to put ‘You are in a subway. And you are a giant banana.’ as the title for this post, but I feared people wouldn’t pay it the due attention if I merely used one of the best line notes I’ve ever read. Yes, the World of Goo soundtrack is here. Yes, it’s free. Yes, it’s more than we’d hoped for. And yes, it’s bloody amazing. You can download it here. It’s just over 80mb, so while that’s downloading, I’ve written a pseudo review/impressions. They’re going to be fawning, but you already know that, because you’ve played the game, and you know how good the music is.

The nominees for the 2009 IGF awards have been announced here. I’m going to be going through the available ones in the next few days, so expect some impressions and linkage soon. As it stands, there are a few recognisable entries in there, such as Zeno Clash (of which we have an interview with here), The Graveyard, and, of course, You Have to Burn the Rope. There are a few non-PC titles this year aswel, but we don’t concern ourselves with them. Go and have a gander, and see if you can spot the next World of Goo or Crayon Physics Deluxe. There has to be one there somewhere.
