Gratuitous Tank Battles has been revealed today by Positech’s Cliff Harris for a Quarter 4 release this year. GTB is a follow on to his tactical strategy hit Gratuitous Space Battles but this time the action takes places on the earthen lands of Europe in 2114.

The game is set in a world where World War One never came to an end and is still being fought two hundred years later. GTB takes a top-down perspective to the RTS/Tower Defense genre and will feature foot soldiers, mechs and tanks in a battle between the allies and Central Powers. There will be customisable units and a new focus on online features.
