Valve’s Marc Laidlaw On Scrapped Return To Ravenholm Project

It emerged on the Steam forums a few weeks ago that there was a mysterious project known as ‘Ravenholm’ or ‘Return to Ravenholm’ that was being worked on by Valve and Arkane in 2006/2007. The mod, developed by three man team of Revenant100, Barnz and Besli turns Gearbox Software’s unreleased Dreamcast version of the PC classic into a playable version on the PC. This week the camaraderie of gamers has been on show as we’ve grouped together and called for a PC port of Dark Souls. The following petition has reached 68,000 people so far and Namco Bandai have said they are considering the port. While that decision is being made though there is another campaign on the rise, getting videogame music into the Classic FM hall of fame.

The quest to get Dark Souls on PC keeps going strong. The petition (which I urge you to sign if you haven’t yet) has reached an unprecedented 63,372 signatures at the time of posting, and the forum thread currently stands at the most active on the Namco-Bandai forums. Final Fantasy XIII-2 Demo Released This Week

Square Enix have revealed that a Final Fantasy XIII-2 cross platform demo will be released this week. It’s not entirely sure what will be available in the demo but details on that have been promised to follow according to a members blog. Travelling from all areas of the UK, a small group of committed adventure gamers descended on the small town of Didcot for the first of hopefully many celebrations of the adventure game genre.
