Bethesda Announce Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall

Lo and behold, not 24 hours after Bethesda released this picture, they’ve popped up again to officially announce Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall.

This time around, you’ll be leaving Corvo behind and stepping into the similarly stealthy shoes of Daud, the very man responsible for the death of the Empress.  Whilst Corvo is rotting in jail for the crimes he quite definitely did not commit, Daud has decided stabbing the ruler might not have been  the most moral thing to do. Now wishing to atone for his wrongdoings, Daud is guided by the rather cryptic Outsider towards someone known only as ‘Delilah’.

Unveiling some new skills and new equipment, Knife promises to follow a similar multi-approach sneak-fest to the rest of Dishonored. With such a promising reaction to the original game, Bethesda probably don’t want to be ruffling too many feathers with a radical expansion.

In a rather sneaky move, this tale will be broken up into two sets of DLC, concluding in The Brigmore Witches, due later this year. I’m not sure how happy I am to be forced to buy two sets of DLC for one story, but if the quality of the DLC is as high as Dishonored itself, I’m not angered by spending around £16 for the pair.

This second add-on pack for Arkane Studios’ Dishonored will be available in Europe on April 16th for Xbox 360 and PC, and on April 17th for PS3, priced at £7.99 (or 800 Microsoft Points).
