Metro: Last Light is the sequel to the terribly underrated, and truly excellent Metro:2033. Where Metro:2033 was Alien, Last Light is the Aliens, or more accurately, the Prometheus. It’s bigger, in scale and budget, and, erm, I think this analogy has derailed….regardless, this is my Verdict.

This is a very difficult review to write; there’s a part of me that wants to just write this game off as a bad’un. It has many serious flaws, but there are also glimpses of pure genius throughout that have me holding back, just.

So, it’s that time of year again. All the big publishers are gathering together to shamelessly folg their wares. Huge budgets are spent on stands, promotions, booth-girls, advertising, outlandish props and the business-class fare’s of corporate heavy-weights who generally have zero business talking about games. Can’t help thinking that money could have been spent better on the game itself….But brushing that cynicism aside, lets see what caught my eye after the break.
