The Witcher – 1.2 Millions Copies Sold

witcher_sized1

CD Projekt Red marketing coodinator Karol Zajaczkowski has revealed on The Witcher forums that the game has sold more than 1.2 million copies around the world which according to Shacknews is from both retail and digital distribution. This means that the game has now jumped onto the list of the 100 best selling PC games ever.

While the game has been released in two different guises with the enhanced version that was released last year, this is a fantastic figure for what is a PC game through and through. It is a great game that never quite achieved the critical response I feel it deserved, but these sales figures show that The Witcher did something right. Congratulations are in order to CD Projekt Red for achieving this landmark.
